Hindi ko alam kung bakit hindi ko agad nai-share sa inyo ang review ko on this skincare product considering this has been a staple in my routine for quite some time now. Siguro kasi this is not a new product, but definitely a cult-favorite face mask particularly for glowing skin. It's the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Face Mask. This wash off mask claims to exfoliate and brighten lacklustre complexions, using pumpkin enzyme and alpha hydroxy acid for chemical exfoliation and aluminium oxide crystals for physical exfoliation. Like I said, ilang beses ko na siyang na-apply sa skin ko. I normally use it once a week lang for a skin pick-me-up. So keep on reading to know why this has hands-down become my favorite mask ever! PROS ●The mini comes in a light plastic tub with a screw on lid ●Has a gritty gel-paste consistency ●Has super fine exfoliating crystals ●Has a nice pumpkin scent that's not crazy strong ●Smooths across the skin easily ●Doesn’t break me out CONS ●Pricey This is one of those exfoliating product that definitely tingles quite a lot while it’s on for 5-7 minutes. When I first felt it, I got a bit scared but it settles eventually. After use, I am always blown away by how soft and radiant my skin looks. I like to use it when I know my period is coming up and I want to minimize my breakouts, or if I have active breakouts that I want cleared up. I know that this mask is quite pricey, but you can tell they carefully select ingredients and formulate products that work. I only use this mask once a week, so I know this mask will really last me a long time. Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Face Mask is available at their official Lazada store for P1,300 (50ml) or at Sephora Philippines.

When I was just starting with my makeup journey, I didn't really realize the worth of quality makeup brushes. Not until, after a few months lang, most of my brushes, yung mga bristles nila started to fall out na, they get stiffer and stiffer after each use. Every time I use them, they gave that rough & scratchy feeling, na syempre hindi na nakaka-gandang gamitin. Ang maganda naman ngayon, mas madami ng pagpipilian at hindi na lang mga premium makeup brands ang nakakagawa ng brushes na may high-quality bristles, sleek styles, and designs that make them easy to clean. Andami na ring mga affordable but really good quality options. Kagaya na lang ng Ecotools. It has become one of my go-to brands for nice quality and affordable makeup brushes. Plus, a lot of them are safe and gentle enough for sensitive skin. I remember the very first brush set I got from them which was their 5-Piece Mineral Brush Set, kahit synthetic yung bristles nila nagulat ako kasi they are super soft and much easier on the face. Real Techniques is also another budget friendly brand that I love whose makeup brushes make application a breeze. Actually, maraming pwedeng i-consider when buying makeup brushes. Bukod sa quality, there's purpose and use, the size, shape, and weight of the brush, plus how it feels in your hand. Napansin ko rin na with quality brushes, they can provide a more precise placement of color and the ability to enhance the final look of makeup. Syempre, if you have the budget naman, you can always go for a higher quality brush. Based on my experience kasi, a high-end brush lasts a lifetime talaga if you take proper care of it. Some of my all-time favorite brushes are from Sephora Collection and Make Up For Ever. Share nyo na rin mga ka-grocery moms what you consider when buying makeup brushes.
Next to grocery stores, I also enjoy going to bakeries. I just love the smell of fresh baked goods. Lalo na if you see how they make and bake those delicious treats. If you have Bakers' Fair near you, you know how mouth-watering the aroma of their diced hopia and dice mongo is as they grill them in their store. Aside from those two, we have our other favorites from this bakery as they offer wide assortment of baked goods at affordable prices. Here are our top 5 favorites from Bakers' Fair na we usually have for breakfast, merienda, and even pangbaon: Breakfast Roll, P30 Hopia Macao, P25 Cheese Split, P25 Pianono, P17 Egg Pie Slice, P30 Share nyo na rin mga ka-grocery moms what your favorites are from Bakers' Fair!
One of my cousins, aka the Ms. IKEA in our family gifted me a pack of well, frozen IKEA Huvudroll Meatballs last Christmas which as a matter of fact, I've been wanting to try for the longest time. At first, I fried a few pieces, konting mantika lang on low to medium heat for about 10 minutes siguro. My verdict? Super na-gets ko na why these IKEA meatballs have a cult following. Actually, they looked dry after nilang maluto pero nung tinikman ko na, the texture was not at all dry or spongy, it was fine and fork tender. The meatballs were seasoned just enough to give that great savory flavor. Yes, perfect sila for quick and easy finger food. But perfect din sila to add sa paboritong soup ni hubby na super dali lang lutuin which is Misua Soup with Patola. The ingredients are; IKEA Huvudroll Meatballs, misua, beef cube, patola, garlic, onion, fish sauce or patis, and ground black pepper. I also garnished it with little red pepper flakes. This 1kg pack of Huvudroll Swedish Meatballs is available at IKEA's Swedish Food Market for P670.
Share nyo na rin mga ka-grocery moms if you're tried these famous meatballs from IKEA! As I was organizing one of our 'nakatagong drawers' inside our closet, I saw one of the drawers filled with fake nails. Some from PR but mostly galing sa isa kong Korean student who gifted me 10 packs of press-on gel nails last year na sadly nawala na sa isip ko since hindi naman talaga ako gumagamit ng fake nails. Syempre, they're gifts so I couldn't get myself to just declutter them. Kaya naman for the New Year's Eve celebration with my family, I decided to wear fake nails for the very first time! I went for Dashing Diva Magic Press Press-on Gel Nails. The kit itself comes with 30 nails, a mini file, a prep wipe pad, and a cuticle pusher. The design I chose was really pretty with two nude colors with glossy finish na may konting gold glitter sa gitna. I was really surprised with how easy they are to apply since the nails are stick-on, so no filing the top of the nail, or glue necessary. All I did was after cleaning my nail beds with the included prep pad, I peeled off the clear film from each nail, then pressed each of them down firmly. Hindi sila reusable but the adhesive is really strong na kahit nakailang hugas na ako ng kamay, the nails didn't falter. I heard they can last for a week pero inalis ko na rin sila after two days since hindi talaga ako sanay na may nakadikit sa kuko ko. Overall, I was amazed by how good my nails looked with those press-on gel nails and I would love to wear more of them often this year! COCINA JAVELLANA PREMIUM UBE HALAYA | 100% PURE, SCRUMPTIOUS, AND PREMIUM UBE HALAYA MADE WITH LOVE1/5/2023 I've said it many times, I have a very strong sweet tooth na hindi pwedeng walang dessert after every meal. Purple yam jam o mas kilala natin as ube halaya is one of those desserts na hindi ko man parating kinakain but definitely a family favorite! I like ube halaya with nice and thick texture that's rich but not overly sweet na nakakaumay na. Mas prefer ko rin kung may konting tiny bits of ube. This is why, when Cocina Javellana sent me their 100% pure and premium ube halaya, sobrang nagustuhan namin sya. Compared to others, their homemade product comes in a lighter shade of purple but delicious, creamy, and loaded with ube flavor. Plus, it has no extenders, no artificial flavoring, and no coloring. Kung naghahanap kayo ng versatile ingredient that you can use for your dessert recipes kagaya ng halo-halo, ice cream, ube cake, or a decadent dessert all on its own, you can order through their Instagram account at @cocinajavellana. It's also available for pick-up at their location in Makati. Price starts at P225 for 300g, P350 for 450g, and P700 for 1000g Party Tray.
There are days when we just can’t wait to get out of bed to start our day. Pero syempre, may mga araw din na we don't feel like getting up, yung tipong, zero-motivation mornings - let alone putting on makeup. Ako what I do with those tamad days but I still have to look presentable, I limit my makeup look to five items, max! Currently, I've been going for my Dear Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream (P1,220) which is a color-adjusting BB cream that delivers a light radiant finish. It's feels comfortable on the skin, super lightweight and easy to apply. Plus, it contains SPF40 pa to protect my skin from the sun. I just use the Essence Eyebrow Designer Pencil & Brush (P144) hindi lang for my brows, but to create a winged eyeliner na rin. I'm also loving the MAC Mocha Powder Blush (P1,650) which is a very warm-toned, medium-dark pink with a matte finish. The color just gives my complexion warmth and that natural glow. Ang pinakanagustuhan ko is, it stayed on well for long hours before it started to fade on me. For the eyes naman, I just apply Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara (P199) as it really works on lifting up my lashes and making my eyes come alive. Lastly, for my lips, I've been using Kalon Cosmetics Velvet Lip Cream in Leira (P189). It's a highly pigmented lip cream with a matte appearance. Yung color naman niya na may pagka-orange caramel which flatters my skin tone din naman and perfect for those casual days. Isa lang ang Christmas gift na pinabili ko kay hubby. Surprisingly, it's not makeup or anything beauty related. It's actually my most favorite spread of all time - Biscoff Spread aka Cookie Butter aka Speculoos. I'm sure marami rin sa inyo ang pamilyar sa Lotus Biscoff. Available naman yung mga cookies and spreads nila sa international section ng mga supermarkets dito sa atin. Although dahil nga imported, they're quite pricey especially their spreads. Pero super sarap naman talaga. Their Biscoff Spread Smooth has that caramel flavour and a hint of cinnamon and other spices. It's smooth, sweet, and really addictive! Normally, I just it eat straight from the jar but it actually had lots of uses in baking and desserts. What I did was a quick and easy sweet snack with only 5 ingredients. In making Biscoff Spread Crunchy Roll Ups, you'll be needing; bread, Biscoff Spread, eggs, milk, and bread crumbs. Kakailanganin rin ng cooking oil for frying the rolls. I served it to my son for his afternoon snack, and he liked it a lot! Aside from the sweet, rich and delicious flavors from the spread, it also has that crisp and crunchy texture. Lotus Biscoff Smooth Cookie Butter Spread is available online at Food Plus Store for P359 (400g) and in leading supermarkets nationwide.
