Recently, I've been on the hunt for high fiber biscuits. When you search online, ang unang lalabas are digestive biscuits na madalas ko ng nakikita sa mga grocery stores. Most of the brands na nakita ko are Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Jeanne & Jamie's, Brittania, and McVitie’s. These brands are mostly from UK. It's because these digestive biscuits or simply digestives are extremely popular in the UK. They are a common snack that they pair with tea. Ang pinakakilala at pinakamalaking brand ng digestives which is also the one that invented the biscuits in the first place is, McVitie’s. So, I got myself a box of McVitie's Digestive Dark Chocolate Wheatmeal Biscuits. These are golden-baked, crunchy wheat biscuits, topped with a layer of smooth, dark chocolate. The biscuit itself is crumbly, not as crunchy but has that melt-in-your-mouth texture. It also has a lightly sweet and buttery taste. Ang pinaka na-surprise ako is yung lasa nung dark chocolate. Honestly, I'm not usually a massive fan of dark chocolate but went for this one as I felt it's a bit on the healthier side. It's not bitter, not too sweet, it's just smooth and decadent. Plus, kung kagaya ko kayo na mahilig mag-dunk ng biscuits sa hot coffee or chocolate drink, these biscuits are definitely perfect dunkers! I recommend you try this kung naghahanap kayo ng bagong maita-try na klase ng biscuit, something you can pair with your hot drink, plus with the wholesome goodness of wheat. I got mine at Shopwise for P120. Share nyo na rin mga ka-grocery moms if you've tried these digestive biscuits.
